Founded in 1873, the Christchurch Golf Club is the second oldest golf club in New Zealand.  The club has hosted numerous New Zealand Open championships over its many years, as well as hosting the 1990 World Amateur Championship for the Eisenhower trophy.  Peter Thomson, legendary Australian golfer and course designer has recently undertaken some course refurbishments ensuring that Christchurch Golf Club continues its fine championship golfing tradition.
