Scottish Highlands

The Scottish Highlands, although perhaps best known for their breath-taking scenery and whisky distilleries, are also home to some of Scotland’s most beautiful, testing, and enjoyable golf courses.  Nestled within the Cairngorms National Park you find the Boat of Garten and Spey Valley golf courses, two stunning inland courses that reflect their magnificent surroundings within their challenging layouts, both of which are ranked amongst the top 50 Scottish golf courses.  Further North along the coastline, you will find the renowned Castle Stewart, Brora, and Nairn courses, as well as other golfing gems such as Royal Dornoch and Moray Golf Club.  While enjoying the fantastic golfing opportunities in the Highlands, you can also experience the great historical and cultural places of interest in the area. Known for its whisky production, the Highlands offer several distilleries open to visitors including Glenfiddich and Glenmorangie. There are also several great examples of historical architecture including Elgin Cathedral, Urqhart Castle, and Balmoral Castle – the Summer residence of the Royal family.

A golfing trip around the Scottish Highlands is a truly enjoyable experience and a must for any golfing enthusiast.
