Travelling the Fairways Pro-am 2021- Dumbarnie Links

Where records were broken.......

From Hole in ones, to course records smashed and of course Fraser getting well and truly beaten by his son Rory (more on that later), the Travelling the Fairways Pro-am was a huge success for the 2nd year running.

Dumbarnie Links was impeccable and together with outstanding service and beautiful weather the scene was set for low scoring and an all-round great time!

108 golfers took part in the event, with 26 PGA Professionals including past Open champion & current Legends Tour player Paul Lawrie, multiple Tour winners and not to mention up and coming young stars. There was no doubt that the start sheet was impressive, and with an overall prize fund closing in on £10,000 both professional and amateur team scores were certainly worth going low for.

Special mention deservedly goes to Glen and Leslie from the PGA, who ran the tournament seamlessly both days and also a huge thank you to Druids Golf & St Andrews Brewing company for their contribution to the event.

On Day 2 a rare feat was achieved by Kevin John Leslie from Torphins who managed a hole in one on the 6th hole so many congratulations to him.

Oh, before we forget...... Rory Cromarty most definitely deserves a mention for his score on day 2 and thrashing his dad Fraser overall. Representing Paul Lawrie golf centre and EIS Waste Services, Rory was 6 under at several points during his round and finished a commendable 4 under. At 19, and in only his second event the futures bright.
