Travelling the Fairways strongly recommends Travel Insurance.


On booking your golfing vacation, please ask for details of our preferred partner insurance company that we will be happy to recommend to you.


Please remember it is your responsibility to have adequate travel insurance in place should you need to cancel the trip for any reason.  

Travel insurance must be taken out within three weeks of paying for the deposit on your trip


‘Travelling the Fairways’ is not liable for loss, damage or theft of luggage, golf clubs or personal belongings, or for personal injury, accident or illness that may prevent travelling. Therefore, please ensure you have adequate insurance before travelling.


Your travel insurance should cover the whole time you are away (including the time travel begins in your country of origin and ending with the time that you are back in your country of origin) and should include as a minimum:


This should be in place as a variety of situations may arise requiring you to cancel your trip or cut it short. Such instances may include:

  • Theft of passport or visa before the commencement of your trip

  • Traffic accident before the commencement of your trip

  • Victim of felonious assault before the commencement of your trip

  • Injury or illness of insured, travel companion, family member, or business partner before the commencement of your trip

  • Jury duty or military redeployment during the time of your trip

  • Home or business damaged, vandalised, or burglarised before the commencement of your trip

  • Employment terminated or transferred before the commencement of your trip

  • Hurricane or natural disaster strikes the destination of your trip

  • Terrorism or mandatory evacuation at the destination of your tri


Medical and Health Cover for an injury or sudden illness abroad, 24 hour emergency service and assistance, personal liability cover in case you are sued for causing injury or damaging property, lost and stolen possessions cover, extra cover for hazardous activities that are commonly excluded from standard policies.


Reimbursement for lost, stolen or damaged luggage and belongings throughout your trip along with travel assistance to replace lost or stolen prescriptions, passports, visas or other important travel documents.


Coverage for trip delay and baggage delay, providing reimbursement for unplanned hotel expenses, meals, clothing and transportation costs.


‘Travelling the Fairways’ further referred to as ‘the company’ and/or it’s agents, act only as agents in making arrangements for hotels, tee times, sightseeing tours and transportation or any other service in connection with the itineraries of individual tour members who by acceptance thereof, acknowledge that the company and or it’s agents and suppliers shall not be liable for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity, liability or expense to personal injury due to act or default of any hotel, golf club, carrier or any other company or person providing or rendering of services included in the tours.

Further, the company and or its agents accept no responsibility for any sickness, pilferage, labour disputes, machinery breakdown, government restraints, weather conditions, defaults in any vehicle of transportation or any misadventure or casualty or any other causes beyond their control.


The company reserves the right to cancel, change or substitute any service, and to decline to accept or retain tour members at any time for any reason including insufficient numbers of participants.


The client, by engaging the company and making deposit and/or full payment for the package arrangement specified, acknowledges the position of the company as stipulated by the foregoing and agrees to hold the company blameless in making arrangements on his/her behalf, provided same should be made through generally accepted suppliers at the time of engagement, and further agrees that the restitution of damages, if any are claimed, shall be sought directly from the suppliers. The client also agrees to the terms and conditions of the tour and services set forth by the suppliers. Rates are subject to change without notice. Payment of deposit or full payment shall constitute consent of all provisions stated herein. Due to the nature of British and Irish weather, it is not possible to return green fee payments from golf clubs if courses are affected by adverse weather conditions. If however any refunds are to be made, this will be at the discretion of the golf club.
